Hello, Karen and Doug and your families. We send our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your Mom and Grandmother and someone who was a 'Cochrane' friend. We remember well the early days of Cochrane Alliance Church and the presence of both your parents in establishing the church back in the late 70's. Much wisdom, guidance and mentorship was provided to us as a young family in those days and we deeply appreciated their strong faith and steadfast love of God. Although our paths did not cross over many of the years when they moved from Cochrane to Calgary, the imprint of your Mom's life has been left on many of our lives, thoughts and hearts. And, we know that we will meet again in our heavenly home!
With deep sympathy,
Brian and Ginny Winter
How lucky we all are to have had her in our lives for so long. We have wonderful memories.
Doug, Kathy and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mom. The life she and your Dad made on their “hobby farm” sounds amazing and am sure many wonderful memories. So beautiful that she was able to go back in time with her dementia! I will offer a Mass for the gift she was in so many lives and will be praying for all the Koop family.
God bless,
Mary Beth Manarey
Hi Karen and Doug,
Have memories of you Mom and Dad's place in Cochrane. college and Career with you at Foothills Alliance back in the day. Heart felt sympathies to you both.
I have many great memories of Aunt Elaine. She had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor. Even though dementia, she would laugh and enjoy visits. My thoughts and prayers go out to Karen and Doug and your families at this time of loss.
