Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as we remember John. His kind smile and warm hug each time we met, all of our wonderful visits sitting on the deck or in the driveway while watching grandchildren play, cocktails and delicious meals shared. ❤️ We are so grateful for these wonderful memories.
May John’s life be honoured by all he loved.
May his memory be cherished for all he gave.
May your hearts be comforted by all you shared.
Wishing you peace, Lloyd and Wanda Rommens
We all loved "Grumps". Under that exterior was a man who had a very big heart. He was generous with his friendship, loved to laugh and loved his sports. He will be in our hearts as family always. With love from Marko & Jayne

Mary Lynne, Cara & Chad and Cole my heart goes out to all of you at this time. When I heard the news of John’s passing my mind drifted back to when I first met John when he came to my door to offer a hand moving a couch. All the memories of the golf gatherings, Sunday breakfasts on the deck, Five Crowns, on the deck and boat in Lakeside. Some great memories. Going to miss him. My heart is with you all.
To Mary Lynne and family; just a quick note to share one of my many special memories of cousin John.
I was very fortunate to have played hockey with John when we went onto play in the memorial cup western finals. I was the back up goalkeeper and I had to face Johns ferocious slap shot daily in practice which was nerve racking for me, but that slap shot worked well for John as he went onto play hockey for the Canadian National Hockey team and several USA teams, along with being a tremendous defence men.
John’s guidance and friendship as we grew up will always be cherished.
With heart warm sympathy,
Gordon & Janet Bishop
Mary Lynn and family my condolences and thoughts are with you all at this tough time. John and I grew up like brothers in our younger years. I have very precious memories of all of this including Arrow Lake. As well the good times you the girls had at Moms camp at Silver beach. John's voice, laugh and humor was contagious and he could take over a room. He was certainly an image of his father Uncle Jack or JJ . It should be a bit of comfort to know John was loved by many certainly me. I cherish the memories I have. He has left us but will never be forgotten
Love to you all cousin Pat and Lisa xoxoxo
