In Loving Memory of Rady-Minda Buning.

On Monday, September 4, 2023, Rady-Minda Buning, loving wife, caring mother and sister, passed away peacefully at Foothills Medical Center in Calgary, Alberta. Rady-Minda is survived by her loving husband Artemio, her daughter Cheryl, son-in-law Tirso Jr., grandchildren Jurriel and Abriel; and fur babies Cody, Casey, Cotton, and Candy.

Rady-Minda, an emblem of wisdom, love, and compassion, peacefully departed from this world on September 4, 2023. Born on January 27, 1944, she dedicated the prime years of her life to the noble profession of teaching, touching countless souls with her infectious passion for knowledge and unwavering dedication.

Beyond textbooks and classroom walls, Rady-Minda taught lessons of kindness, patience, and resilience. Her infectious laughter and sparkling eyes spoke of stories from days gone by, yet she always remained an eternal student, ever eager to learn from the world and those around her.

Her legacy is etched in the hearts of her students, many of whom fondly recall the warmth of her embrace, the depth of her wisdom, and her uncanny ability to see potential where others could not. She believed in the power of every child, and her belief alone transformed many a life.

To her family, she was more than just a teacher. She was a pillar of strength, the fabric that held everyone together. Her home echoed with tales of yesteryears, recipes of love, and the promise of tomorrow.

While we bid farewell to Rady-Minda, her teachings and memories remain, a guiding star for all who had the privilege to know her. As we remember her radiant smile and the twinkle in her eyes, we find solace in knowing that she’s teaching angels now, with the same love and dedication she showered upon us all.

We are sincerely grateful to the doctors and staff of Units 37 and 27, and to our family and friends who have given us support and comfort during this time of loss. From our family, we thank you for everything.

Rest in peace, dear Rady-Minda. Your legacy will live on for generations to come.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Rady-Minda’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Rady-Minda’s family here.
