Obituary of Sharon Anne Cook

August 13, 1946 – Toronto, Ontario

September 20, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Sharon Cook, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at the age of 77.

Sharon was born in Toronto, ON on August 13, 1946. Sharon was married in 1962, and she raised four children with Normand Louiseize (predeceased). They divorced in 1994.

She moved to Sturgeon Falls, ON in the late 1970's to raise her children in a more quiet community.  In 1998, Sharon moved to Calgary to care for her grandchildren.

Sharon loved flowers and took great care in making arrangements in the years she worked as a florist. She enjoyed spending time with friends, and family. She was endlessly silly, and loved to play games. She spent a great deal of time in the bingo hall, where she was known to be quite lucky.

Sharon took every opportunity to spoil her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren with attention and gifts. She loved to start her Christmas shopping in January.

Sharon is survived by her two daughters, Jeanine Charland (Dave Burbridge) and Lisa Louiseize (Krista Paul), both of Calgay AB; and two sons, Allen Louiseize, of Sturgeon Falls, On. And Paul Louiseize, of Calgary, AB. Sharon is also survived by her three grandchildren, Cory Charland, of Calgary, AB, Karley Charland (Jamie Brueckman), of Bashaw, AB, and Adam Louiseize, of Brantford, ON; as well as many great-grandchildren. Sharon was predeceased by her brother, Robert Cook, of Penetanguishene, ON.

A Celebration of Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Sharon’s family here.
