Timothy S. Down, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, surrounded by family and friends. Timothy, fondly known as Tim or Timmy was born to Jean and John Down, November 8, 1950, in Brandon, Manitoba. Tim is survived by his loving wife and business partner Cindy Down; sons, Ryan and his fiancé Kim, and Brandon and his partner Stephanie; Tim’s stepdaughter, Lindsay Rupp, and son-in-law, Ted. He is also survived by his older brother, Blair Down in Vancouver. Tim was loved dearly by all his grandchildren, Aiden, Jackson and Madeline.

Tim was a leader in the Calgary real estate community. He was respected by his peers as a brilliant mind and honorable man, he was always a pleasure to do business with, and is remembered by all as a class act.

Tim had an extraordinary love and talent for golf. He spent his extra time golfing with friends and traveling to play all over the US, with a special connection to The Madison Club in the Palm Springs area. 

Tim was beloved by everyone who knew him. He was an eternal optimist, even to the very end. His positive outlook and zest for life was infectious. He had a heart of gold and saw the good in everyone and every situation. He will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to have met him.Tim’s Celebration of life will be held at the Carriage House Hotel & Conference Centre (9030 Macleod Trail South, Calgary, AB) on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Lunch to follow. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Tim’s family here.
