Obituary of Andrew Joseph Charles Jaremko
May 14, 1949 - Calgary, Alberta
September 12, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
After a life in photography, filming and animation movies, Andrew Jaremko performed his last act on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in his home in Calgary.
At age 74, he died with as much dignity as possible from multiple sclerosis, infection, and strokes. He communicated with visitors in his last periods awake.
A teenage hobby with cameras and projectors became his livelihood. He had roles in commercial and award-winning entertainment productions. He belonged to the Calgary Society of Independent Film Makers and the Quick Draw Animation Society of Calgary. He invented animation software for home use and a rock band light show.
His survivors are brother Gordon, sister-in-law Beverley, and their Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa family circle.
We thank Carewest Colonel Belcher and Foothills Hospital for fine final care.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at McInnis & Holloway (Heritage, 1708, 16th Avenue N, across from the North Hill Shopping Centre, Calgary, AB).
