Obituary of Phyllis Marjorie Anderson

Phyllis Anderson (nee Kendrick), of Claresholm, AB, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the age of 85 years, just as she was settling into the newest chapter of her life.

Phyllis was born on her grandparents, Charlie and Martha Winters’ farm in Finch, ON to parents, Morton and Alda Kendrick. Once Phyllis moved to Alberta, she enjoyed cooking and sharing her creations with friends and family. She loved God and attended church whenever possible.

This inspiring, beautiful, nurturing woman is survived by her two daughters, Charmaine Anderson of Calgary, and Brenda Carmichael of Claresholm; and her son Ron Anderson and his wife Sharon in Lake Country, British Columbia. Survived as well by treasured friends, Linda Anderson and Shirley Flynn; her devoted grandchildren, Aaron, Bernie, Max, Nicholas, and Brianne; and her precious great-grandchildren, Rosealee and Bellamy, will miss her silliness and truly loving spirit. Phyllis is also survived by sister June Merkley and her husband Doug, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends across the country. Phyllis was predeceased by her spouse Don Anderson, sisters, Marguerite, Ruth, and Gertie; and brothers, Ritchie and Hudson.

A Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 Street NW, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at The Mission of St. Edmunds (8336 34 Avenue NW, Calgary, AB.
