Obituary of Linda Marie Audette

March 7, 1955 – September 16, 2023

 

Linda Audette of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 68 years.

 

Linda was born in Calgary on March 7, 1955, where she resided throughout her whole life. She graduated from SAIT as a Health Record Technician and worked at Foothills Hospital. She was also a member of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta.

 

Linda loved gardening and worked tirelessly in nurturing perennial flower beds to beautify her home. She also enjoyed 4-wheel drives and beachcombing. An amazing Auntie, she is fondly remembered as GAL and Chickenhawk. Linda’s most memorable vacation was when she visited Australia with family where she explored gardens, beaches and snorkeled in the Great Barrier Reef.

 

Linda’s favourite quote was “You’re only given a ‘spark’ of madness. You mustn’t lose it” (Robin Williams)

 

Linda is survived by two brothers, Ken Audette of Calgary and Bill Audette of Edmonton and one sister Mary Cook (Ron) of Calgary, as well as niece Lindsay O’Gorman (Rachel), grandniece Dorrie, grandnephews, Cooper and Jedi in Australia, nephew Shaun Cook (Bonnie), grandnephew Patrick and grandniece Alice in USA, and niece Barbara Audette in Didsbury, AB. She was predeceased by her parents Ken and Betty, and three brothers, Timothy, Donald, and Larry.
