Obituary of Mui Fong Wong 黃关妙芳

Mui Fong Wong (nee Kwan), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the age of 75 years.

Mui Fong was born in Hoiping, Kwangtung, China in 1947. She emigrated from Hong Kong in 1968, and married Wai Yuen "Willie" Wong in the same year.

Mui Fong accomplished much through her life but was particularly proud to be a mother to her three sons and a grandmother to her three grandchildren.

Mui Fong enjoyed shopping and making delicious meals for her family. She took pride in her bountiful vegetable and flower garden. She also enjoyed watching Chinese television during the evenings, whether it be game shows, comedy, drama, or action thrillers.

She will be most remembered for her selfless nature, devotion to her family, and loving heart. 

Mui Fong is survived by her three sons, Robert Wong, Winston (Dunja) Wong, Howard (Anne) Wong; two grandsons, Jordan and Tyler Wong; and one granddaughter, Willemina Wong.

Mui Fong is also survived by her brother and two sisters, who reside in the USA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Mui Fong was predeceased by her husband, parents, and one sister.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
