Obituary of Sheila Mary Daly

May 9, 1925 – Dublin, Ireland
September 28, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta 

After a long, full, and interesting life, Sheila passed away peacefully at home at the age of 98 years. 

She was born in Dublin, Ireland, raised in Scotland in St. Andrews and Edinburgh, and came to Canada in 1951 to marry Bob. They had over 60 happy years together in Calgary, Victoria, and Sydney. Sheila returned to Calgary in 2013 and has loved living at Staywell Manor. 

Sheila was predeceased by her younger daughter Janet in 2021 and her husband Bob in 2012. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter Shannon (Lowell Westersund), Janet’s boys, Brad (Robyn, George), and Patrick (Janet); and Shannon’s son Ryan (Catrina).

The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to Dr. Michael Geoghegan and all the wonderful staff at Staywell Manor, and to Beyond Neighbours for their excellent caregiving. They are also grateful for the kindness and support of MAiD Calgary in carrying out Sheila’s wishes.
