Obituary of Erwin (Earl) Max Schabert

Erwin (Earl) Schabert, beloved brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, September 25, 2023 at the age of 87 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB.

Erwin, known to many as Earl, was a kind and gentle man who touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In the loving arms of our Lord, Earl is now reunited with his precious wife, Marilyn, who preceded him in death. Together, they embark on their eternal journey, where love knows no bounds.

He leaves behind his cherished sister, Ella Szackas, who will forever hold his memory close to her heart. Earl's presence will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends, all of whom were blessed by his warm smile and generous spirit. Earl was also predeceased by his brother Alvin, his sisters, Helen, Della, Katie, Dora, and Louisa; and his parents, Albert and Emma Schabert.

Earl's life was a testament to the values of love, kindness, and compassion. He found joy in the simple things and had a remarkable ability to make those around him feel special. As we mourn the loss of this remarkable man, we also celebrate the richness he brought to our lives. Earl's memory will continue to shine brightly in our hearts, a reminder of the enduring power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived.

A Celebration of Earl’s Life will be held at Sierras of Country Hills (728 Country Hills Rd NW, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Earl’s family here.
