Obituary of Trudy Elise Gabriel

Trudy Gabriel (nee Mieske), of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the age of 74 years.

Trudy was born in Berlin, Germany on September 2, 1949. She immigrated to Calgary, AB in 1957. Trudy married Brent Farch in 2004. She was a member of the many charity organizations such as the United Way and volunteered within her community association. Trudy accomplished much through her life and was particularly proud of being one of the first females to receive a degree in Technical Engineering from SAIT. Trudy had a passion for gardening, dogs, cooking and entertaining, and keeping up with current events. She will be most remembered for her grit, strong spirit, kind-caring nature, her love of learning and passion for celebrating the holidays.

Besides her loving husband Brent Farch, Trudy is survived by her stepdaughter Karra Farch and grandchild Dylan Thomson of Kamloops, BC. Trudy is also survived by her brother and sisters-in-law Debbie Mieske; sister Christel Roth of Nanaimo, BC; as well as numerous nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews, cousins, and friends. Trudy was predeceased by her father and mother Emil and Loise Mieske, stepson Kazzy Farch, sister and brother-in-law Margrit and Hans-Jurgen Steinhau, and brother-in-law Guttlob Roth.
