Obituary of Giovanni Marasco

October 16, 1931 – Cosenza, Italy

October 7, 2023– Calgary, Alberta

It is with a very heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Giovanni Marasco, on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 91 years of age surrounded by his loved ones.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Caterina, and his children Franco (Sylvia), Vittoria (Giuseppe), Denise (Franco); his eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the doctors and staff at the PLC Emergency Department. A very special thank you to Dr. Lewis, and nurse Michelle for her compassion and going above and beyond to care for our family.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church (1714 13 Ave NE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
