Obituary of Jewel Margaret Colford

May 27, 1948 – Miramichi (Newcastle), New Brunswick

October 8, 2023 – Calgary, Alberta

Jewel Colford (nee Fallon), of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the age of 75 years.

Jewel was born in Miramichi (Newcastle), NB, on May 27, 1948. Jewel married Keith Colford in 1969. Jewel and Keith moved to Airdrie, AB, in 2003.

Jewel had a passion for trying new things.  Once mastered, she would move on to the next hobby or project. Jewel’s most memorable vacations always included family whether camping or visiting relatives in other provinces. She will be most remembered for her loving heart & beautiful smile.

Besides her loving husband Keith, Jewel is survived by her two daughters, Tracey Colford and Terri Morrison (Chris) of Airdrie, AB, and six grandchildren, Jerricka Russell (Jeff Tinkess), Jessica Russell, Jadden Russell, Logan Morrison, Kaylee Morrison, and Kendra Morrison, all of Airdrie, AB. 

Jewel was predeceased by her parents Bill & Gwen Fallon, of Miramichi, NB; brothers Jerry Fallon of Mississauga, ON, Charlie Fallon of Miramichi, NB and William “Bunny” Fallon of Oakville ON; and sisters Jackie Fallon and Betty Fallon both of Miramichi, NB.

Celebration of Life will be held at Hope Church (Calgary Rotary Challenger Park - 3688 48 Ave NE, Calgary AB, T3J 5C8) on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 12:15p.m. Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Mrs. Colford’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service.
