Obituary of Bob Bryan Boschee

February 13, 1951 – Medicine Hat, Alberta

October 10, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

 

Bob Boschee beloved husband of Gail (nee Sauter) of Rocky View County, AB, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at the age of 72 years.

 

Bob was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta on February 13, 1951. He was raised in Cyprus Hills in Alberta on a mixed farm. He rode horseback to attend Cyprus school for grade 1. He completed grades 2-12 were in Irvine, Alberta, graduating with his senior matriculation in 1969. His high school classmates became lifelong friends.  

 

Bob moved to Calgary in 1969 to start Articling in the Chartered Accountancy program. Bob married Gail Sauter on December 29, 1971. He graduated with his Chartered Accountant designation in 1975. Nine months after that, they celebrated the birth of their first child, Jolene. 


Bob’s career included working at Collins Hanes (which later became Collins Barrel), Gardner McDonald, and Roozen Bailey & Co (becoming a partner in 1981). He later branched off to become a sole practitioner of Boschee & Company in 2008, and only fully retired this week on October 10, 2023.

 

Besides his loving wife, Gail, Bob is survived by two daughters; Jolene (Kelly) Wiens of Stony Plain, AB, and Michelle (Curt) Janzen of Rocky View County, AB; and one son; Kevin (Nicole) Boschee of Rocky View County, AB; and his seven grandchildren, Hananiah, Emmanuel, Yeshua and Sepiday Wiens and Lincon, Easton, and Delaney Janzen.

 

Bob is also survived by his two brothers, Sylvannus Boschee and Jacob (Karen) Boschee; and one sister, Virgina Jans, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

 

Bob was predeceased by his parents, James and Vila Boschee.

 

He was a proud member of the First Alliance Church and volunteered with Harvest Ministry.

 

Bob loved life and had many passions that included: his family, his friends, his work, playing cards, dancing, listening to country music, playing slo-pitch, curling, travelling, going to rodeos, watching the Blue Jays, holding their cats (Bonnie and Clyde), camping (BOZO Bunch), vacationing in Radium, volunteering and attending church, and most of all, his faith in Christ.

 

The Funeral Service will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E., Calgary, AB) on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:00AM with a reception to follow. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed here.
