Obituary of Felix Paul Kuntz

September 26, 1941 - Richmound, Saskatchewan

October 14, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

Felix Kuntz of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at the age of 82 years.

Felix was a soft spoken, kind, and generous man with a beautiful smile and laugh. Felix and Sylvia married on June 20, 1964 and were blessed with 3 sons. Felix was a hard-working man and everything he did was for his family. In the good and tough times, he was always there.

Felix was the most complicated, simple man. He could eat hot dogs every day for a week without question however he would call you and say “Hi, it’s Felix Kuntz calling” to which we would reply, “yes I know your voice dad”.

Felix’s intelligence went above and beyond. He had so much knowledge about so many things which we will all miss. Dad was always a quick call away to chat through, provide guidance, or help with any project we tried to tackle.

Felix had a love of automobiles and anything mechanical which he shared and handed down to his sons and really anyone who would listen.

Eat your apples we were told, they are good for you, however his always seems to end up hidden in the trees for us to find.

Felix’s circle was small however he impacted those who knew him enormously.

Felix spent many years enjoying his love of music including playing keyboard and guitar in several bands as well as being a music teacher. We must not forget the accordion and his love for polka music.

Felix was a great listener with the occasional “oh jeez, oh boy” and giggle.

Felix is survived by his two sisters, Bev and Vicki, his three sons, Darin, Kevin, and Mel, his two daughters-in-law, Donna and Tanya, his seven grandchildren Jonathan, Cecilia, Amanda, Michael, Devon, Matthew, and Jakob, and well as his great grandchildren, cousins, and friends.

Felix was predeceased by Sylvia, his loving wife, as well as his parents and siblings, Jenny, Matthew, Casper, and Teddy.
