Obituary of Timothy Clyde Fowler
August 23, 1948 – London, Ontario
October 11, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
Timothy Fowler of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at the age of 75 years.
Timothy was born in London, ON and went on to graduate from Fanshawe College in 1971 with a diploma in Marketing. He was a Sales Executive of Commercial Graphics for 3M Canada for 38 years. This career relocated him five times finally ending in Calgary, Alberta in the late 1970s.
Timothy remained a bachelor in his early years but met Patricia Ann Marie (McMillan) in 2003. They were married in 2004 at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. He accomplished much through his life. He was particularly proud of his close relationships with family and friends and his long career with 3M. Timothy also enjoyed playing golf, baseball, and racquetball in his spare time. His most memorable vacation was a 3M incentive trip with his wife Patricia in 2003, to the Aventura Spa Palace in the Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Timothy’s favourite saying was “Now go take on the day!” and could be heard at the end of his voicemail recordings. He will be most remembered for his charming personality, infectious kindness, and his odd sense of humour.
Besides his loving wife Patricia, Timothy is survived by his stepdaughter Vaughan McMillan (Duncan Lewis) and grandson Douglas of Calgary, AB, his stepson Ian McMillan (Megan Ducker) of Montreal, QC; his cousin Chris Carruthers of Calgary, AB, and her daughter Danielle (Jordan and Max) Sutton of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by sisters, Mary-Jo (Ken) Fitzpatrick of Ottawa, ON and Catherine (Bob) Moore of London, ON; his brothers, Gerry (Judy Davison) Fowler of Brantford, ON and Peter (Guimer) Fowler of London, ON; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Timothy was predeceased by his parents, Helen Laureen (Carruthers) (1985) and Walter Joseph Fowler (2009); his sisters, Margaret Thornton (Fowler) (2002) and Rosemary Delaney (Fowler) (2021); his mother-in-law Emily (Paddy) (2004) Cordingley and father-in-law Bernard Cordingley (2006).
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, November 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
