Obituary of William Allen McIntyre

William “Will” McIntyre of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at the age of 75 years.

William was born in Strathclair, MB on February 26, 1948. As a teenager he was a member of Strathclair Air Cadets which gave him his love of flight and travel. Later in life William attended Brandon University. Through the years he worked in Italy, the USA, Belize, and Mexico then returning to Canada to work in the Oil Sands before retiring.

William’s favourite hobbies were history, fishing and reading books on the Western way of life. He also loved horses. He will be most remembered for his strong sense of humour, love of pranks and his rapid-fire jokes that he delivered by phone. He was lovingly known as Will, Bill and Duke by friends and family.

William is survived by son Stephane (Brandie), granddaughter Kaitlyn and grandson Colt.  William is also survived by his two brothers, Randy (Pat) and Blair (Susan); one sister Beryl; as well as nephews Jeff, Joe, Shane, Bailey, Dakota, and Dayce; and nieces Terri, Kelly, Pam, Kayla, Lacey, Julia, Olivia, and Danielle. William also leaves behind dear friends Merilyn Gosselin and Conrad (Terry) Parent, several cousins and his special furry friend, Cody.

William was predeceased by daughter Belinda, and parents Spencer and Grace.
