Condolences
My deepest condolences to Bob, Mo, Cooper/Family and Jayne for your deep loss of Johnny. My memory of Uncle Johnny will always be of his wonderful way of making you feel welcome and his kindness to me and my Family. I still have the horseshoe he gifted me with that I display. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time. Erika Kuhlwein.
Uncle Johnny was always happy to see family and would ask how you are and genuinely cared. We were blessed to have large family get togethers especially at Christmas and when the German relatives visited. We had a lot of laughs and good memories.,A feeling of family is like no other feeling. It was great to have a chance to have such a good visit at the ‘party’ for Katie and her children. So precious! Thank you Uncle Johnny for your love! Say hello to everyone for us . We send hugs and our love Bob and Mo and Cooper/ family and Jayne.
It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of my Uncle Johnny He was the last of that generation on my Father's side of the family. I remember when we were little he would stop by and visit and he always had treats for us kids. We would get together quite often actually with the whole clan at their house always a great meal served .it was an opportunity that I will always cherish getting soft in my young age lol Uncle Johnny was the Jim Schokey of the family an avid hunter and fisherman As a large extended family we would meet up in the kananaskis area for a day of fishing and and barbecue.where Uncle Johnny would take family out in his alum boat more than once getting caught in windy conditions on the lake making fir a white knuckle ride back to shore with the high waves on the lake. When I was just a young feller he gave me a job helping to clean washing machines and dryers on Saturdays. I bought my first vehicle from him when I was 16 years old it was a 69 2500 chev pick up with a 396 v8 and man was that thing thirsty I remember coming up the hill from Cochrane floored and you could see the gas guage dropping Yikes He also sold me my first alum boat I know his family was very special to him and I saw that he was a great father and grandfather and I have to say yiu can tell the type of person he was by looking at his son grandchildren and family way to Go Thanks for the memories Untill we meet again Kevin
Our condolences to all Johns family and friends for their loss. We are vendors at the Hillhurst flea market and we spent a lot of time with John on Sundays as he hunted for his treasures . John was a caring man who took pride in looking after us with coffee and pastry . He shared many stories of his life and his family who meant the world to him. He even shared how he made Reggie the dog his meatball treats. We enjoyed John and if he wasn’t there we were always worried. He was known for looking for his German pottery and his vast collection of Hummel figurines. Many of the vendors asked for him when he wasn’t there and were always sharing their treasures with John. We are sad he won’t be along with us but we are thankful that we met and got to know him. Rest in peace John, it was a pleasure and we will miss you. XOXO
Rob and Linda
