Condolences
I was so saddened to hear of Dean's passing. Dean was a special person in my life through the years at RT Alderman and Lord Beaverbrook High School. He has a great smile and was so fun to be around. I will always remember his amazing blonde feathered hair and how cool he was driving in the black Monte Carlo. Dean also had a good deal of common sense and maturity for someone in his teens and I have often reflected on how lucky I was to have been the beneficiary of those rare traits on more than one occasion. My deepest condolences to his family. I know he will be missed by many.
Dean was so kind, funny and beyond cool… he will be dearly missed by so many of us who loved this incredible man. A dear memory of mine is Dean pushing my brother Derek in a toy car up & down Willow Park drive sidewalk …for hours. Also so many fun parties singing & dancing til the wee hours..best dancer ever! My sincere condolences to you Kitty & your children, Rob & Corinne, Lorna & Ken. Xoxo
I had the pleasure of golfing with Dean the last ten or so years. He was the best, as every day he showed up with a big smile and very positive attitude. He was such a pleasure to be around as his cheerfulness was addictive and had a very positive affect on me.
Dean will be missed by everyone and the sadness we feel will linger for a long time.
Our deepest sympathies go out to Kitty and the entire Wasslen family. May your happy memories of Dean carry you through these most difficult times.

I first met Dean and Kitty at the Gym and had the opportunity to golf a couple of times with Dean and Ken in 2022. Even though Deans speech had left him he still and an infectious smile that never left him. And could still play good golf. Sincere condolences to all Deans family. Very sad news today.
So very sorry for your loss Kitty. Thinking of you and your family.

Dean had the best laugh and was always a joy to be around. I got to know Dean well when we lived together in a
house with Rob and Scott Barron.
We had some parties...makes me smile as I type this.
My thoughts and heart are with you all.

Dean was a special person and friend, so many memories with Kitty, Dean and family enjoying vacations together and time in PS. Dean was one of a kind with his sense of humor, fashion sensibility (strict color coding guidelines much appreciated) but most importantly, his commitment and love for Kitty, Joel, Jaimie and extended family. Dean was a man of integrity and high character which are values to be honored. We will never forget you Dean, you are forever in our hearts...

Dean was one of kind. The kindest human with a heart of gold. I remember my first time meeting him, he was so inviting and full of life. He was always smiling and making everyone feel welcome. Dean touched so many people and he will truly be missed by many.
Deepest sympathy to Dean's family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time.
We are so saddened by the passing of Dean. Kitty and Dean have been good friends for many years, starting when I met them both while working at PanCanadian in the late 1980s. We will remember all the good times we spent together - at our wedding in 1996, playing croquet in the Wasslen's backyard in Millrise, and our regular meet-ups at OJs and Moxies. Dean was such an inspiration during his battle with ALS - confronting it with strength and bravery from Day 1. We send our deepest condolences to Kitty, Jaimie and Joel. Keep your memories close to your hearts. ❤
Much love, Stephanie and Dan Long

My heart goes out to all the family.
Dean’s passing is going to be a big loss to all the family, friends, and people he would meet along the way, always with a smile and hi how are you.
Some of my great memories of Dean and Kitty were in Palm Springs especially Ralph’s, the Happy Hours and friendship.
We would sit around the pool and wait for Dean to come along with his sweet smile, pulling his wagon and looking sharp in his matching outfit of the day.
Gone but never forgotten.
Kitty, this may be an odd thing to reflect on, but here it is… When we were working from home, and we would Teams every few weeks to touch base, I loved that. I loved it because the world was topsy-turvy and I valued those small moments of connection, but I also loved it because I always knew that Dean was somewhere close by in the kitchen, flitting about and probably making you something yummy for lunch. He was always slightly out of the frame, but never out of the conversation. I think that’s how he will be for you now… slightly out of the frame, but never out of the conversation or your heart.
All my love,
Jacquie
We have such good memories of our time with Dean and Kitty at the Ocotillo - always easy to laugh and great fun having dinner and drinks together - we love you dean. We will always cherish our time together and your passing is a reminder our time here and together is limited. Condolences to our lovely friend Kitty - we will be in touch soon as your life evens out once again.

Wasslen family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Dean's passing, from what I knew, he was a remarkable father and a loving husband. Kitty, I know he was your soulmate, never spending time apart. If I wished for anything, it would be that more couples could find the love and respect that you and Dean had for one another. All my love to you and the kids. XO Sherri Petricevic
