Obituary of Jean-Paul Dupre

Jean-Paul Dupre, beloved husband of Barbara Dupre, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at the age of 90 years.

Jean-Paul moved to Calgary in 1998 from Coquitlam, BC, where he raised his children. He married Barbara in 1963 in New Westminster, BC, and they were married for 60 years. He enjoyed working at Rogers Sugar in Vancouver, BC, for 25 years and made a lot of new friends there over the years.

Jean-Paul enjoyed bowling and watching sports. He was always at his kids’ sports games, whether it was soccer, baseball, hockey, or lacrosse, helping on the field or just cheering them on. Jean-Paul’s most memorable vacations were camping with his family and when he went to Las Vegas for the first time with his wife. He will be most remembered for his outgoing personality. He always enjoyed talking with people and sharing stories.

Besides his loving wife, Jean-Paul is survived by his daughter, Michelle (Tony), son John (Michelle), and four grandchildren, Nigel, Ashley, Shae-Lynn, and Andrew. Jean-Paul is also survived by his two sisters, Madeline, and Alice; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
