Obituary of Mary Zaydell

October 23, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
Mary Zaydell of Calgary AB, passed away peacefully at the age of 103 on October 23, 2023. Mary was born in Theodore Saskatchewan on August 6th, 1920. Mary is survived by her sister Florence (Henry) and brother Paul. Mary leaves behind her daughters Sharon (Gary), and Joann (Jim) and six grandchildren: Jeff, Michelle (Kari), Jennifer (Sean), David, Lindsay (Brandon), and Michael. Her four great-grandsons brought her much pride and happiness. She now joins her loving husband Nick, who preceded her twenty-four years ago.
Mary and Nick moved to Calgary in 1975 from Toronto, ON where they spent many happy years with family and friends. Mary will be most remembered for her incredible talent as a seamstress, her delicious meals, and the deep love she had for her family. Mary was much loved by all and will be sadly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Calgary Crematorium, 3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB, within the valley of Queen’s Park Cemetery, on Friday, November 3, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
