Obituary of Betty Jean Ringheim

Betty Jean Ringheim, affectionately known as Jeannie or Auntie to most, passed away peacefully at AgeCare Glenmore on Wednesday October 25, 2023, at the age of 86.
Jeannie was a true angel on earth and was the most selfless person you could ever meet. She devoted her life to nurturing and supporting her entire family, while also maintaining a successful oil and gas career with Texaco Gain Energy and Northstar Energy, until she retired.
Jeannie loved driving, especially long distances, with her Halls cough drops close at hand for a road snack and pick me up. She enjoyed watching sports, going camping and family get-togethers. Her stubborn independent nature never got in the way of opening her heart to anyone who needed it. She would not want anyone to fuss over her at any point and did not like to be the center of attention. Jeannie will be lovingly remembered in every sports game we watch, every drive we take, and every porcelain angel or rose we see. An undeniably beautiful soul that will live on in all our hearts and memories.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.
Jeannie is survived by her two aunts Mae Gillrie (nee Ringheim) and Norma Carroll (nee Ringheim), nephew Murray (Jill) Larsen, niece Tracey Larsen, and great-nieces and great-nephews Chassidy, Christopher, Curtis, Dominic, Ashley, and Gabriella.
Jeannie was predeceased by parents Irene Ringheim (nee Bowie) and Melvin Ringheim, sister Melva Mitchell (nee Ringheim) and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Jeannie’s family here.
