Obituary of Arlene STILES

September 26, 1939 – Calgary, Alberta June 21, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta Arlene Stiles passed away on June 21, 2018 at the age of 78 years. Arlene McKay attended Central Memorial High School in Calgary and the University of Alberta where she graduated with a Degree in Education, after which she taught briefly in Edmonton. She met her husband Kenneth Stiles while attending University and they were married on May 27, 1961 in Calgary. They spent many happy years in Calgary and at the Echo Glenn Ranch near Longview. Arlene was cared for and loved by many people especially Laura Whyte, Haidee and Janette and her friends, Beverly Berkhold, Tanya Willumsen and Jerome Pinsonneault. Arlene is survived by her brother Verne McKay and his wife Pat, her sister Maxine and her husband Gary and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her son Michael Stiles and his wife Christine Stiles and by her son Patrick Stiles as well as her grandchildren, Madeline Stiles (1995), Eve Stiles (1996), Summer Stiles (2000) and Mac Stiles (2003) and step-grandchildren, Luke Sherwin (2000) and Nicholas Sherwin (2001). Arlene was predeceased by her son Timothy Edward Stiles and her husband Kenneth Stiles. Arlene loved to buy gifts for friends and family. But the nicest gift was spending time with her. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY () on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow at the Calgary Golf and Country Club.
