Funeral Mass
Condolences
We always loved our visits with Uncle Clarence and Auntie Georgie. When Cameron was in Grade 1, Georgie pulled out a box of special memories and school work from her former Grade 1 students and I remember thinking, 'I sure wish my kids could have Georgie as a teacher!' Their visits would bring loaf cake, laughs and lots of memories and information about the Welty family. Of course, I never met anyone who knew as much about the Calgary Flames as her and we were awed to see her and Clarence's certificates from the first ever Calgary Flames game in Calgary. We are saddened to think she is no longer just a phone call away, but rejoice that she has been re-united with Uncle Clarence. We will miss her dearly.
Dear Kay and family of Georgie. Just recently I had our usual almost and hour telephone conversation.
So I am very to hear about Georgie's death. My love and my sympathy are with you. As you may know we have remains close friends since Grade 10, at St Angela's Academy.
I wish I had your email or phone number Kay so I could tell you how much I am praying for you and how much I will miss Georgie.
With my love and with prayer, Sr. Rose-Anne

Where do I begin, Georgie I have so many wonderful memories of you, your kindness, your love and support. The many times we spent with you and Clarence and Chu having a few drinks and just enjoying each others company. My condolences to the family you have left, you will be truly missed by all. May you rest in peace and let perpetual light shine upon you now and forever!
Georgie, my Dad, Jack Hunter, always greeted you with such joy that we were always happy to see you too. I can still hear him greeting you with a hearty, "Georgie!!!" You brought joy into the world just by existing, what a happy legacy to leave. We didn't see you often but we all loved seeing you when we did.
