Murray Russell Craig, 83, of Calgary, Alberta, died on October 31, 2023. He passed away, surrounded by his loved ones, from natural causes.

Murray was born on August 30, 1940, to Dorothy and Russell Craig in Regina, Saskatchewan. He had seven siblings: Kenneth, Deanna, Clive, Karen, Doug (Cheryl), Bob (Angie), and Robbie.

He met the love of his life, Judy, at Lloyd’s Rollersports Centre on April 12, 1967, and they were married on August 4, 1967. Together they had six children: Douglas, Susan (Jordy), Steven, Jody (Peter), Daniel (Keri), and Darcy (Sarah).

Murray loved family occasions and his smile was never bigger than when he was surrounded by his seven grandchildren: Mackenzie, Emily, Fayth, Alexie, Keira, Jordie, and Gracie.

Murray had a big personality that instantly filled the room, an unparalleled work ethic, and a playful sense of humour that will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Bow Valley Chapel (2526 24 Ave NW, Calgary, AB), on Friday, November 17, 2023. A family gathering will be held at 11:30 a.m. and the funeral will commence at noon. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Condolences, memories and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
