Obituary of Charles Edward TUCKEY

November 18, 1958 – Guelph, Ontario June 22, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta It is with profound sadness that the family of Charles Edward Tuckey announce his peaceful passing in Calgary on June 22, 2018, at the age of 59. Charlie was known to all for his sharp mind, wit, and his love of the outdoors. Charlie attended the University of Calgary and earned a Masters degree in Computer Science. According to his wife, he was the ‘smartest man she knew’, and he was fond of reminding her of that fact. Charlie was an avid hiker and could often be found, and sometimes lost, in the mountains. Whether it was scrambling up the side of a mountain, meandering through an alpine meadow, snowshoeing, or paddling down a river, Charlie had a zest for life and was always eager to share that with those he loved. Charlie will be forever cherished by his wife Pat Tuckey; parents, Kenn Tuckey and Joan Tuckey; children Christopher Tuckey (Stacie), Andrew Tuckey (Debbie), Curtis Tuckey (Jenn), Dreyton Vandale (Joanne) Ragen Scheuerman (Troy); sisters Kathy McDonald (Andy) and Terry Tarrabain (Steve); nieces Jenny Martino (Matteo), Bonnie Kelly (Darren), Tara Sheltons (Travis), Dee Boychuk, and great-niece Livia Martino; nephews Aydan Tarrabain, Casey Leys (Ashley), David Leys (Natasha), Jason Rivett, and great-nephew Luca Martino; granddaughters Jaida DeSchryver, Addison Tuckey, Olivia Vandale, Breanna Scheuerman; grandsons Drayton DeSchryver, Tristan Vandale, Dillon Vandale, Noah Scheuerman; great grandchildren Maya Vandale, Milo Vandale and Sophia Scheuerman.
