Mrs. Nguyễn Thị Hạt, beloved wife of the late Nguyễn Đình Lợi of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023, at the age of 94 years.

Mrs. Nguyễn was born in Lang Son, Vietnam on December 12, 1929, married to Mr. Nguyễn Đình Lợi and raised ten children. She and her family immigrated to Canada in 1985. Over the years, she spent her time as an active member of the St. Vincent Liem Catholic Church and was a beloved matriarch to her large family, playing a pivotal role in raising many of her grandchildren. Throughout her life, she endeavoured to embody hospitality, love, charity, and care for community.  

Mrs. Nguyễn is survived by ten children, twenty-three grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at St. Vincent Liem Catholic Church (2412 48 St SE, Calgary, AB T2B 1M4) on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Vincent Liem Catholic Church (2412 48 St SE, Calgary, AB T2B 1M4) on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 12:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Condolences, memories, and photos can also be shared and viewed here.
