Obituary of Susan Mae Roe
February 25, 1942 - Hamilton, Ontario
November 6, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta
To my dear family and friends,
My mission on earth came to a close on November 2, 2023. Thanks be to God for the many years I was given!
Robert Roe (Bob) and I married in 1969 and remained best friends forever! God richly blessed Bob and I with two beautiful daughters, our most precious gifts! Teresa, wife of Steve McKay, and Lisa, wife of Darren Wickhorst. My daughters were such a delight, faithfully encouraging me with their love! We often reflected on so many fun and happy times, from when they were little kids, to the present! Their love, wisdom, humour, and loyalty enriched my life. Bob, thank you for your loving generosity and endless help during my last few years. Bob, Teresa, and Lisa, always remember how much I love you!
Teresa and Steve of Alabaster, Alabama, USA have three children, Amber, Andrew, and Joshua. Lisa and Darren of Irricana, Alberta have two children, Emilie and Josie. These five grandchildren blessed me with so many wonderful experiences! They put life and love into my years! How I love each one of you! Bob, we have seven great-grandchildren.
Born in Hamilton, Ontario on February 25, 1942, my loving parents were Albert and Winifred Rankin (nee Leek). God blessed me with two sisters and one brother - Nancy, wife of Ron Fitzhenry of Long Point, Ontario; Joan, wife of Jim Brown of Kamloops, BC; Paul, husband of Cathy of Cochrane, Alberta, and their families. I had many aunts, uncles, and cousins who put meaning into my younger life!
My mother-in-law, Grayce Roe, was a very special lady!
I was so blessed with many friends throughout my life! We shared fun and adventures at school, work, and play! Thanks to each of you!
Thank you to Dr Kelly for encouragement, exceptional care, and friendship!
May God richly bless each one of you! Find love, peace, and Joy! Please read John 3:16!
There will be no funeral service. Cremation will follow my passing.
It’s a wrap! Over and Out!
The Collingsworth Family was Susan's favourite band - please take a moment to reflect on your memories of her, while listening to "When He Carries Me Away".
