Obituary of Jennifer Lynn Kathol

It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected, sudden passing of Jennifer Lynn Kathol. She passed away peacefully at her home in Calgary on Sunday November 5, 2023, at the age of 45.
Jenni will be sadly missed by her husband Jason Satink and their daughter Ava Zane Satink. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents, Conrad and Sherry Kathol; her brother Christopher Kathol and her sister Carolyn (Paul) Hebert and their children Madeleine and Miles. Also grieving her loss are Jason’s parents, Linda and Henk Satink; and Jason’s brother Michael (Charlotte) Satink and their children Rylee and Sydnee.
Jenni enjoyed a wonderful, happy childhood in Calgary where she excelled at school, in dance and various sports. She graduated from Lord Beaverbrook High School and attended the Alberta College of Art and Design in Calgary. During this time, she met the love of her life Jason, and they were married in 2005. Jenni and Jay were finally able to start a family in 2016 and from that point on she dedicated her life to her family.
Reading was her lifelong passion, and she was a talented artist who derived a great deal of pleasure from her painting. Jennifer made friends wherever she went, and she will be lovingly remembered forever by her family and friends. Everyone loved Jennifer.
Memorial Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 13, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
