Obituary of Heather Jill Rideout

Heather Rideout of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the age of 62 years. A caring and dedicated mother, wife, and librarian, Heather is survived by her husband Bob Rideout of Calgary; her two sons Scott and Joey of Calgary and Ottawa, respectively.

Heather raised her sons before returning to school to achieve her Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Calgary followed by her Master of Library and Information Science at the University of Western Ontario in 2015. Heather then worked as a Library Manager for National Resources Canada and then as a Librarian at various schools in Calgary where she loved working with books and reading to the students. Heather fostered a love of reading and learning in her children and students alike.
