Condolences
Sending our condolences to the family. We lived across the street from Edith and Norm from 2004 on. We loved visiting with them and hearing stories about their activities - Edith's passion being skating, family and the history of the area and their families. Edith was always looking out for Russ when he was working on the house. She wanted to make sure that he was staying safe. She even sent me a picture one day. It was of him shingling the roof. She was especially glad that he was wearing his fall protection harness and line so he was safe and she didn't risk seeing him fall. That exchange was just one of the examples of her sense of humour, and kind and caring nature.
Josee and Russ
Edith & Norm were great neighbors. They kept their place looking beautiful all of the time. When I bought the house next door 27 years ago it needed a lot of work. All I had to do for inspiration was look next door. They had everything set up, retired, a nice garden, outdoor living space, wood shop, motorhome, they even had a telephone in the garage. The neighborhood has changed a lot since then but I will always remember seeing how the both of them lived their dream.
Sending my sympathy to you. Norm and Edith were always fun to have come visit and we enjoyed coming to visit them. So many memories.
