Obituary of Sharon Gail Balan (nee MacLellan)

Sharon Balan of Calgary, AB passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 80 years.  

Sharon passed away peacefully surrounded by her family following a years long courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Sharon will be forever remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shelley Balan; her daughter and son-in-law, Marnie and Steve Rogers; and her beautiful grandchildren, Jackson, Brenden, James and Kennedy. Sharon was predeceased by her husband Don Balan in 2007. Sharon is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim and Olga MacLellan and Gary and Ali MacLellan, sister-in-law Dianne White, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB) on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home Graveside Service to follow at Union Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Red was Sharon's favourite colour.
