Condolences
Eulogy of late Nyatuoy Buom Met who passed away mysteriously on November 8th, 2023, and it’s terribly shocked everyone by Dr. Arthur Clarke; Words cannot adequately express my sorrow at the loss of Nyatuoy, and here is what I feel: Nyatuoy Daniel Buom Met was a gift to the world, and on November 8th, 2023 at gift was lost forever. She was just 21 years old. We cannot know what gifts she would have brought to others if she had lived.
I came of age in a culture that was enriched by African American women like Rosa Parks and Maya Angelou, and so many others whose very names make us joyful when they are mentioned, and others whose names we do not know but who made the world a better place because of their lives and their love.
Nyatuoy Buom Met had planned a career in the field of health care to study a nursing program at University of Lethbridge. She could have had a transformative and healing effect on countless children, women, and men, and left a beautiful legacy for future generations.
This is our loss. We cannot bring her back to us. I would ask only that each of you remember Nyatuoy Met and make your own life more beautiful and your own gift to the world better because you remember her.
Arthur Clark
Each of us is different, and each of us will experience the loss of a particular life differently. Here is a link to the announcement of the death of Martin Luther King Jr. by Robert Kennedy.

When I hear this, I feel the loss again because Martin was a hero for me and for my generation. His insight, that we must learn to live together as humans or we will perish as fools, is what inspired the book I wrote on global citizenship, and is quoted in the opening pages of that book.
Thank you for inviting me to contribute a few words in remembrance of Nyatuoy.
Arthur
