Obituary of Robert William Helmer

October 20, 1962 – Kingston, Ontario
November 9, 2023 - Calgary, Alberta

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Rob (Robert) Helmer Rob passed away with his family at his side. 

Rob leaves behind his best friend and loving wife Lisa of 32 years; daughter Brittany (Ryan); son Anthony; mother-in-law Vicki Baran; brother-in-law Greg Baran (Jami Kirk); nieces, Alicia and Hannah Baran; brother Ken (Nancy); nephew Jordon (Caroline); niece Maddison (Tyler); and his great-niece Skylar; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Jim and Joyce Helmer, grandparents Jack and Elaine Fletcher, lita and Ty Helmer, father-in-law Jack Baran and his brother-in-law Richard Baran.

Rob lived his life in pursuit of laughter. He would try to make people happy with jokes or playful humour. He would always find many jokes that he would share with his many friends on Facebook. His laugh was infectious and no matter the situation it could lift the room up. He will be truly missed by everyone who met him.

Rest in peace Rob, you have earned the right to soar the heavens and enjoy life as you choose.
