We are very sorry to hear of George’s passing.
Knowing George and working under his leadership was a privilege. He possessed the qualities of an exceptional individual: honesty, respectfulness, kindness, and always offering encouraging words to each of us.
He was a true leader!
Our deepest condolences to Darka, Kathy and the entire family.
PLESA family,
I was saddened to hear the passing of George, my condolences to the family, GKD.
One day while sweeping the floor at the family company, George stopped while he was doing his morning tour to greet everyone around, and said to me “Do you see those guys?” point in direction of the senior machinists, “One day you will operate the machines they operate.” I did. It feels like yesterday, listening to him articulating those words, but that was almost 14 years ago. After reading how he commenced his family in Canada, I think I can say that I now understand what he was really saying while observing me mopping the floor shop? Endless possibilities.
Thank you, and ‘giant-ly’ rest in peace.
My deepest condolences to the Plesa family. I remember coming into GKD and George was leaning against the counter. Thinking he would just brush off my resume, but George Plesa gave me the opportunity to learn a trade and he was and still is a huge mentor in my success as a machinist. I will never forget George Plesa and the entire family of GKD - Kurt Gullacher

There are so many memories of life intertwined with your warmth and wisdom that I cannot overstate... the impact you have had... beyond any words I can muster at this time.
Of all such memories, the one that is utmost in my heart and mind is our time shared in HRV which seems not that long ago... and the memory of which is still so fresh that the sting of loss is all the much more...
I am forever mindful and grateful for your impact on my life, and I strive daily to be better today than yesterday... always with you in mind.
May you Rest in peace... loving hugs
Carl Darko Kukec
