Mary Ann Yakubiec (nee Czak), of Calgary, AB, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at the age of 73 years.

She was born in Calgary, AB, on December 2, 1949 to Edna and Joseph Czak.

Mary Ann grew up in Calgary, AB, and graduated from St. Francis High School. She loved animals and owned horses, cats, dogs, and bunnies in her lifetime. She had great respect for nature and wildlife and loved to be outside. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.

She loved to travel to places such as Louisiana, Las Vegas, and Maui, USA. Mary Ann loved to cook and would spend hours researching new recipes to share with her family at the next get together.

The family would like to thank her boss Avery and co-workers at Weedman and her neighbors at The Gala for the care, friendships, and kindness they showed.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle Brand, granddaughters Rachel Brand, and Beck Brand; her sisters and brother in-law, Jocelyn Bass, Charlotte and Ralph White; as well nieces Allyson, Shannon, Colleen and their families. She was predeceased by her parents, Michael Yakubiec, and William “Bud” Nims.
