Obituary of Barbara Ann Gallelli

Barbara Gallelli (nee Butterfield), beloved wife of the late Buddy Gallelli, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023, at the age of 86 years.

Barbara was born in Regina, SK, on May 26, 1937 and moved to Calgary, AB early in life. Barbara graduated from the University of Calgary with a master’s degree in education. She was a tenacious lifelong learner and passionate educator. Barb was a talented quilter, needlepoint artist and able gardener. After retiring from teaching in 1996, she passionately studied and worked in the stock market.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Buddy, her mother and father, Arthur and Ruby Butterfield; brother Ross Butterfield, and grandson Nathan Mossfeldt. Barbara is survived by her two sons, Greg (TL) Mossfeldt of Fernie, BC and Mark (Janet) Mossfeldt of Calgary, AB; grandchildren, Melissa Mossfeldt, Steve (Danielle) Mossfeldt, Kyle (Jenna) Mossfeldt, and Jody Mossfeldt; and four beautiful great-grandchildren, Mila, Oskar, Blakely, and Easton Mossfeldt of Calgary, AB. Barb held dearly her lifelong friendships with Avis Williams and Gladys Ebel.
