Obituary of Jose Troncoso

Jose Troncoso, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2023, at the age of 83.

Jose was born in Puerto Montt, Chile and was a longshore man. He was proud of his Chilean heritage and was a proud Canadian too. He enjoyed gardening, reading, the beach and the ocean. He loved spending time at the cabin in Olmue, Chile.

Jose was the beloved husband of Alicia and the loving father of two sons, Luis, and Carlos, and nine grandchildren, Travor, Tatiana, Marisa, Carlitos, Christopher, Alexander, John, Liam, and Josefina; and one great-grandchild, Ashwolf.

The family would like to thank Nursing Unit 38 and the Internal Medicine & Palliative Doctors at the Peter Lougheed for their care and compassion.

Jose will be most remembered for his sense of humor, his resiliency, and his zest for life.
