Obituary of Robert Alexander Kinnon

Robert Alexander Kinnon, beloved husband of Debbie (nee Hochstein), and Father of Jordan (Teagan) and Tyler passed away peacefully Monday, November 20, 2023, at the age of 61.
Rob was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and grew up in Calgary, Alberta with his siblings Diana, Tony and Jennifer, his mother Elvira and later his stepfather Jerry. In 1988 he met Debbie on a blind date at a Boston concert. Four months later, he proposed to the love of his life and went on to spend 34 years together, happily married.
Rob was a huge family man and proud father of Jordan and Tyler. He was a very dedicated father that took pride in teaching and showing his boys how to be honorable men. Rob would often drive hundreds of kilometers to watch his boys’ hockey games and was their biggest fan in hockey and in life. He was also immensely proud of his grandchildren, Dax, and Walker, and loved to brag about them to anyone who would listen. On top of a career in the oil and gas industry, Rob would often volunteer his time in efforts to make others lives better. Rob would always offer a helping hand to those in need and spent many years as the Vice President of Calgary Minor Hockey and volunteered as a Calgary Flames Ambassador, winning Ambassador of the year in 2008 due to his efforts. Rob was a loving and generous person who always took care of his family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors.
Besides his loving wife and children, Robert is survived by his brother Tony (Sandra), sister Jennifer; Nieces and nephews Jessica (Rob), Sean, Scott, and Amy. Rob is also survived by his dog Jake, numerous relatives, and dear friends that he loved very much.
Rob was predeceased by his mother Elvira Ramsay, stepfather Jerry Ramsay, father Jack Kinnon and sister Diana.
Rob will be most remembered for his integrity, selflessness and generosity that will be carried on by all he is survived by.
