Condolences
Condolences to the Gaultois family, so sorry to hear of Joseph’s passing.
Our condolences to the Gaultois family. I remember the family well as they were our next door neighbors for a number of years. Hugs to all

My sympathies at the loss of Joe Gaultois. He was the father of my son Marc. Many memories of him from so long ago. R.I.P.
Condolences to all the Gaultois family. My very first year of teaching school, I was asked to teach Latin to five of the Grade 10 students who were interested in the subject, Joe being one of them. As I was teaching Grade four children that year, I thought this would be a challenge, so I accepted. This was a three day per week course, immediately after the lunch break. Each time they came to class Joe would arrive with a big bag of mixed candy for the teacher, a bribe so that I wouldn't give them any homework as he hated to do the translations. No wonder I gained weight that first year, lol. He was a very loving, generous student and neighbour, as the Gaultois family lived right across the street from me, and was loved by all his classmates. Since he moved away to Alberta I inquired about him often and keep in touch with some of the girls. I will never forget Joe for sure. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time. Hugs.
Rest in peace Joe, and smile on us all. I used to be married to Joe a very long time ago and am the mother of our daughter, Isabel. Joe had a great zest for life and a sense of wonder that he never lost. He was funny and silly at times and I remember those times fondly. I was glad to have seen him at the hospital the day before he passed. I think he was at peace and ready.
We wish our condolences to Joe’s children and all 11 brothers and sisters.
Joe had a full life and we especially remember his love for ospreys.
When Joe came to visit once, he was thrilled that there is a golf course in our neighbourhood called “Osprey Valley”.
Elizabeth recalls how proud she was as a teenager, when her big brother gave her a ride to school after lunch ON HIS MOTORCYCLE. “I felt so cool”.
Thanks to Karen for her dedicated care during the last part of his life.
So sorry for the loss of my brother, Joe. I was thinking I would see him one more time. The Last time I was in Calgary, we did a day trip to Banff. Joesph always loved the mountains and introduced me to Banff years earlier. Joe walked down to the lake with the rest of us in tow. We did not want Joe to walk that far as he was already having trouble with his gait. However, Joe would not take No as an action and walked from the parking lot down the hill to the lake. Joe bought everyone ice cream. We found a park ranger to give Joe and I a ride back up the hill to where the car was parked. Joe's speech was impaired at the time but he gave us driving directions and showed us landscapes we never saw before. I will always remember that day with Joe and how much fun we had.
