Jonathan (Jon) Edward Hintz, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 39 years.

Jon, born in Calgary, AB on May 16, 1984, dedicated many years to the hospitality industry. In 2012, he relocated to Lethbridge, where he embarked on a journey to learn the art of Sushi preparation.

A brilliant, charismatic, and humorous individual, Jon possessed unwavering loyalty and a caring nature. His multifaceted talents knew no bounds, whether it was his guitar playing, artistic endeavors, or insatiable thirst for knowledge through constant reading and learning.

Jon's boundless compassion for others left an indelible mark. His vibrant spirit will be profoundly missed.

Jon is survived by his father and step-mother, Brian and Mila Hintz, Calgary, AB. His sister and brother-in-law, Kristin and Alesandro de Lima, and their daughter Christina, Calgary, AB. He is also survived by his aunt Donna and uncle Laurie Sandberg, Red Deer, AB, his aunt Marge Suddards, Lacombe, AB, and cousins Laurie Andrews, Allan Suddards, Christy Trescher, Leanne Sandberg and their families.

Jon was predeceased by his mother Marilyn Hintz, Calgary, AB. He was also predeceased by his grandparents Alex and Lydia Hintz, Edmonton, AB, and Elmer Saari, Niagara Falls, ON, and Edna Saari, Calgary, AB. He is also predeceased by his uncles Jack Suddards and Eldon Saari, and his aunts Carron Boos and Jocelyn Wood.
