Condolences
Yvonne was a truly dedicated person. She worked tirelessly, always volunteering, always one of the strongest volunteers. She was outgoing, friendly, and a joy to work with. I always wanted to have her on my team. I was always glad to see her. She will be sorely missed.
As Chair of the Maple Leaf Awards Committee of the Conservative Party of Canada, it was an honour to recognize Yvonne with a Special Recognition Award for her many years of dedicated service to the cause. Deepest condolences to her family & many friends as they gather tomorrow to celebrate a life well lived.
We keep losing our wonderful Old Reformers. Their selfless ideal that public service is its own reward is too often forgotten now.
Yvonne personified this selfless service. She did good simply because she wanted things to be better, and she rightly thought each person can make a positive difference by making an effort. She volunteered tirelessly, serving on constituency boards and working campaigns for no reward at all except the knowledge that she was doing what she could. Thank you, Yvonne. We need more like you.
Yvonne was a “young” soul; curious, courageous, and committed to her chosen course of action. Her dedication to help ensure principled, common-sense governance for our country, province, and community greatly enlarged her circle of friends and fellow travellers, and won their respect. It is said that even the most introverted of individuals impacts at least 10,000 others over their lifetime. Yvonne was no introvert. Her circle of influence was greater than she knew, as she unselfishly worked for the common good. Yvonne will be warmly remembered and missed by all who knew her. Her help, support, and friendship to me as a candidate meant so much and will never be forgotten. She is a high flyer in my books.
We worked on so many campaigns together, but she was also fully committed to both the federal and provincial boards on which she served. She leaves a huge, huge void and will be dearly missed. Rest well, my friend, you earned it.

Yvonne was a very dedicated person, always willing to help with political campaigns and with constituency business or events. Her favourite conversations involved politics, which she welcomed almost every Friday afternoon with Petronella and myself. We always brought her a latte and sometimes a pastry as well. Her smile lit up her face.
Yvonne was a brave soul, accepting her illnesses without complaint.
I will always think of you on Friday afternoons, Yvonne.

Yvonne was the most committed conservative I ever met.
I think it would be fair to say she devoted the latter part of her life to it.
She was awarded a Queens Platinum Jubilee medal for her volunteerism.
She was willing to take on whatever job needed to be filled and completed it as if she was on the payroll. During one election she worked so many hours she asked the political candidate if she could take a day off to do laundry! During the subsequent election when Yvonne was incapacitated a full time employee had to be hired to do all of the work Yvonne had previously done for free.
If you said you were conservative she welcomed you into her circle of friends.
