Obituary of Tokuko Epp

Tokuko Epp, beloved wife of the late Dennis Epp, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 88 years.

Tokuko is survived by her daughters Izumi, Naomi (Jim), Denise (Hiroshi), and Ami (Fernando), and grandson Akira.

Tokuko is also survived by brothers-in-law Yasuo Eto, Oscar (Rosalind) Epp and Roy Stuart; sisters-in-law Beth (Jim) Moyer, Helen Epp and Anne Epp; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Tokuko’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the care team at Foothills Medical Centre Emergency and Unit 72 for their expertise, teamwork, compassion, and support.

The family also thanks the companions, management, and staff of Home Instead for providing Tokuko with social interaction and independence at home and care and support in hospital.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB T2E 2V6) on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 2:00 pm MST. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.

Family and friends who are unable to attend in person are invited to join Tokuko’s service streamed live (see below) on the day of the service. For those who are unable to view live, a recording of the service will be posted. There will be a Japanese translation as well offered through Zoom (please see the link below to view the translated live stream).
