We remember Fred and Harriet when they lived on our street in Airdrie. A very nice man who was dedicated to service. We spent many years together with the Lions and Lioness clubs. Sincere sympathy to his wife and family. From Marilyn and Raymond Shaurette, Airdrie
The Irene and family - So sorry to hear of Fred's passing. He was a gentle soul and I know he loved his Masonic work as it was always done to perfection. He travelled many miles with Easter Star making new friendships along the way. He will be missed but remember all the good time and memories you have made over the years.

We were stunned to hear of Fred's passing. We just want to give Irene a huge hug. We have known Fred from before he and Irene were married and lived close to them, shared many visits and attended Eastern Star functions with them. He was the most gentle, loving man. He was so kind to Roy's mom who also hailed from Glasgow. We shared the dry sense of humour native to the Scots. I don't think you would find anyone who would have a bad word to say about Fred and that is an accomplishment.
We will miss him so much as will many others. Rest in Peace my friend.
Sometimes there are people that leave a spot in your heart and Fred definitely was one of them. I met Fred as customer in the Bakery at Trinity Hills. He loved to buy Tiramisu Cake and flowers for his wife. I will miss him and my condolences to his family.
My sincere sympathy to Irene and the family. Fred and Irene were wonderful hosts to me many times. I have great memories of Fred trying to teach me to drive in the city.
The Calder family were shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Fred. Fred and Irene and the Calders' spent many hours on the road during our Eastern Star visits and became close friends. May Fred's memory be a blessing to his family.
Was shock when I found out he gone. I got to know Fred and Irene in eastern star. They guide me about eastern star and alway keep in touch. My sympathies to Irene and the family, rest in peace Fred. Going to miss you
It hasn't quite sunk in yet for me, so I'm sure all of Fred's family are still in shock too.
He was my Eastern Star Brother and mentor, my Worthy Patron 3 times and was always there to guide me in the right direction.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. RIP my friend. I hope they have good Shepard's Pie in heaven! Love Sue ox
