Condolences
I met Roy as a neighbor but later became his caregiver and friend during the past 10yrs. He was always very outgoing and friendly, easily striking up a conversation with anyone at anytime. We all enjoyed hearing of his interesting jobs and vacations in Texas, Idaho and California. Friends, old and new, share memories of his lively parties filled with great food, drinks and colorful conversations.
Roy loved to dine out, but also enjoyed entertaining at home for he was an amazing chef, bartender and storyteller. He was known to BBQ the best tenderloin around, while mixing you the best Manhattan in town!
We spent many hours enjoying good ol' tunes and good ol' movies like Casablanca, The African Queen and many WWII documentaries.
Roy was a generous soul who was always willing to offer good advice & assistance to anyone. He loved to chat on the phone for hours with sister Sandee, cousins Yvonne & Florence and all my sisters and friends too.
Roy, you've left quite a void for it is lonely and empty here without you're constant, easy-going company. I shall dearly miss our long, endless conversations and your very thoughtful, caring advice.
Rest in Peace Roy,
Blessing,
Vivian
It was our pleasure to have met Roy a few years ago while visiting family in Calgary. This was followed by phone visits with Roy sharing his past adventures of scuba diving, sailing, Texas travels and all cheering on Tom Brady and the Patriots! He would reminisce of the time he worked in "Winterpeg" and wondered if that same company, hotel or restaurant still existed today. All four of us celebrated our birthdays in February with best wishes and a slice of cake at a distance. We planned to visit you this spring Roy; but God had a different plan. Peace be with you. Our thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends during this difficult time.
