Obituary of Mary Pfeiffer

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Pfeiffer (nee Osipow), beloved wife of John Pfeiffer, who passed away suddenly on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the age of 68 years.

Mary lived in Alberta her whole life. She was born in Lethbridge, lived and worked in Calgary, and resided in Okotoks for the last eighteen years.

A romantic at heart, Mary enjoyed the simple things in life and cherished spending time with her soulmate, John. Mary and John had a very special bond and were rarely apart. They enjoyed long drives in the mountains, especially the Kananaskis area, where they spent time hiking, picnicking, and watching the wildlife. They also traveled together to Europe and cherished their memories of Italy, Switzerland and time spent with family friends in Germany. They also enjoyed going on cruises.

Mary’s favourite time of year was Autumn when the leaves changed colour. She also enjoyed the Christmas season, and all the beautiful light displays. While at home, Mary enjoyed reading, watching romantic movies, and spending time alone with John.

Mary was predeceased by her mother Elfrieda, father Victor, and brother Alex. She is survived by her loving husband John, brother Peter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Following Mary’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held for immediate family and close friends. Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Mary’s family here.
