Obituary of Enid Louise Pettifer

Enid Pettifer, was a resident of Cochrane, Alberta, passed away on the 4th of December 2023. She was predeceased by an infant son in 1955 and survived by her daughters Susan Flowers, Karen Pettifer and Kathy (Allan) McNutt, her granddaughter Amy Flowers (Cale Bargen), her grandsons Andrew Flowers, Lindsay McNutt and Taylor McNutt and her great-grandson, Riley Flowers Bargen.

 

Enid was born in Drumheller, Alberta on April 27, 1931, and was the last surviving member of the family of Simon & Hazel Elliott of Delia, Alberta. She graduated from Calgary Business College in 1950. She put these skills into practice in her employment as a bookkeeper followed by her own personal business as a tax consultant.

 

Enid enjoyed several trips to the Azores (Portugal), Hawaii, touring Europe, Jamaica, Cuba, Bermuda; cruising in Alaska, Mexico, and the Caribbean.

 

Enid belonged to the M&M Outdoor Club and Rockyview Ramblers Square Dance Group. In Cochrane, Enid was part of many activities such as the Alliance Church, an art club, Seniors on the Bow and Seniors for Kids Society. She enjoyed many outdoor activities and was a real fan of southern gospel music. She maintained her enthusiasm for a variety of outdoor activities including, more recently, daily walks to the dog parks with family members.

Funeral Services will be held at Cochrane Alliance Church (902 Glenbow Dr, Cochrane, AB T4C 1J2) on Monday, December 11, 2023, at 1:00PM.
