Condolences
We were saddened to just learn of Howard's passing.we enjoyed curling with him in osoyoos and in later years he was involved in the art scene with Mina. He was always friendly and caring and he enjoyed people and we enjoyed him.
I have to tell you that my husband and I always enjoyed Howard and Rowena as a couple, whenever they came to Calgary. Having gone to high school with Rowena I for one was always interested in their travels. Howard was a year ahead of me I guess.
We were present at their wedding and at their 30th (?) anniversary. Always a good time! We wrote Christmas cards to each other every year, and were always interested in news spouses and grand children that came along.
So sorry to hear that Howard had dementia, it's common amongst our age. My condolences go out to each of you on your loss.
May he rest in peace with his beloved Rowena.

Words can’t express our sorrow of the sudden passing of Uncle Howard! He was definitely a very gentle, genuine, loving and caring man who loved his family beyond words! Rowena and Howard always opened up their home and the beach to their extended families and so many memories were created. Thank you Uncle Howard for always showing us all how much you cared!! Your children and grandchildren were truly the apple of your eye!! Rest In Peace! You will be missed by many!!!

I will always remember yearly summer visits to Osoyoos when I was young. Uncle Howard and Aunty Rowena made our family feel so welcome and loved. This will always be a special memory for myself and my family. We love you all and our hearts and support is with you during this extremely difficult time.
Love always.

Susan, Patrick, Greg, Lindsay, and families;
I have so many fond memories of your father. Having been at your house often growing up, I was witness to his quiet smile and shaking of the head when he couldn’t seem to get a word in edgewise. He was a joy to be around.
Howard was a gentle, quiet soul who was instrumental in raising four lovely adults. May you find peace in the knowledge that he and your mother are joined together once again.
Thinking of you all as you traverse this difficult time.

Our heartfelt condolences to all of you. Your dad was a very special man and we miss him dearly. We are grateful to you for sharing him with our family over the past ten years. I feel fortunate to have known such a kind, funny, and caring human being. He shared these qualities with my own father who also left us too soon. RIP Howard.
Our sincere condolences to you all. Howard was a great example of a “good” person and I know you will miss him dearly. I always enjoyed his quiet wit and certainly witnessed that in all of you guys. Diane Costerton
