Condolences
Condolences to the whole family. Been doing Tom’s taxes for many many years. I will miss his quick wit, and sense of humour. He was always a joy to work with. Love to Tracy and Lindsay.
My deepest condolences to all of you for your loss.
I knew Tom very well from my reporting days at Fort McMurray Today in the '90s. He was always a great source for stories, especially when he took leadership of McMurray's Robbie Burns celebrations.
It was during my participation in Robbie Burns night for a story that Tom and I became fast friends. His quick wit and encouragement was always on hand as he guided my escort and I through rehearsals.
We lost touch after awhile but a chance meeting at my store (Chapters Shawnessy) a few years ago rekindled our friendship.
By then, he'd published his first novel and I encouraged him to do an author signing at the store. He sold quite a few books that day, which brought a smile to both of us.
I will miss him a lot.
Rest in Peace, my old friend.
As we said in the Navy: "May you have Fair Winds and Following Seas."
Tom was a gentleman. So sorry for your loss!
So sorry for your loss. Tom was passionate about soccer in McMurray and I remember him being a referee through the years I played.
